Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you have rules?
A: YES! Please read on.

Q: Do you require Ventrilo?
A: Yes, Get it at www.ventrilo.com - information for the server is in the Guild Info tab when you accepted into the guild.

Q: Do you require UI Add-ons?
A: Yes! You have to have a the current threat meter(Omen or KLH), you also have to have Group Calendar and it is strongly suggested you have Deadly Boss Mods. These are the minimum requirements.

Q: Do you have looting rules?
A: Yes, we are a guild about progression we raid for the betterment of the guild and the progress of the team. If you are only trying to gear yourself then it will become obvious and you may want to find a different guild. We will discuss all boss drops and what is best for the guild.

General Looting rules are as follows:

Bind on Equip (BoE) items may be rolled on by anyone. If you can't use the item but want to sell it or disenchant it, roll Greed. If your current character needs the item at that moment and wearing it will improve their character, roll Need. Needing for money is NOT a good reason for rolling Need. Always roll greed if you will not wear the item now. Bind on Pickup (BoP) items will be passed on by everyone. The team will discuss who needs it and who doesn't and make the decision then. Ninja looting will not be tolerated. There is no excuse for this. If you ninja, the party/raid leader or loot master will decide whether they want to boot you from the event or keep you on. Either way, the party/raid leader or loot master will let an officer know, even if it was an accident, and you will be given a warning. If you continue this behavior, you will be booted from the guild. Again, the party/raid leader or loot master will make the decisions about the event. These loot rules will be the most common ones followed, and any changes in the rules will be announced by the party/raid leader or loot master.

Q: Do I have to PvP?
A: Absolutely not, it does build team cohesiveness and it allows the Crew to work together and figure out ways in a dynamic environment but if you do not wish to it is ok.

Q: Are you all going to really progress?
A: Yes, if you want to join us, work together figure out how you can contribute to the overall strength of the team to help everyone as a whole.

Q: Do you consider yourselves a heavy raiding guild?
A: No, we are looking to raid maybe 2 - 3 times a week not 6 times a week. A lot of us are much older and we have lives and work. What we do want to do is ensure that the time we spend raiding is productive for all and that there is progress.

Q: How do I become a member of the Crew?
A: Please copy the guild application questions on the contact page and send them to apply@wow-crew.us.

Q: What is the structure of Crew?
A: There is a GM who is currently Torent and 5 other officers. Although we do have standard guild structure we do think of our selves the same way a spec war team thinks. There is a leader but each member of the crew has a role to play and they have the authority and the accountability fulfill that role.

Q: You guys keep saying military, how much military experience you all really have?
A: In the Crew there is over 50 years of military experience, we like organization, structure and discipline all the core components we believe it takes to progress if you do not think so then we probably are not the right guild for you.

Q: Am I allowed to have Alt's in the guild?
A: Absolutely, but we would like to see players have their mains geared and ready for where we are progressed to. If you are the type of player who like to get characters to level 70 and then start a new one, that is great but it is probably not going to fit with the Crew mind set. Players that want to become the best in their class and experience the content through their main will fit in best with Crew.

Q: Are there any Guild dues?
A: Yes, your dues are that you have fun, even though there seems to be a lot of rules and restrictions this is about having fun. So if you are not let an officer know and we will see how we can help.
